About College

The Panchavati College of Management and Computer Science was established in March 2001. It is a teaching department that aims at providing quality education in computer science. The Department of Computer Science runs various courses viz. B.Sc. (Computer Science), B.B.A (Bachelor of Business Administration), B.B.A(C.A)(Bachelor of Computer Applications) and M. Sc. (Computer Science). In a very short span of time college has earned lot of reputation and popularity for providing latest quality education and fulfilling growing needs for the skilled professionals, of the ever changing Software Industry and the IT world. College consists of well-equipped laboratories for separate computing platforms, enabling the students to work with different environment. Enough laboratory time is made available to the students for maximum utilization of the computing facilities. Our main strength is highly qualified & experienced faculty members, who are very enthusiastic in learning new technologies and updating their skill sets. Faculty members are always ready to guide students apart from regular teaching hours and maintaining the disciplined behavior in the college. The College not only provides the IT professionals but apart from regular studies, we cultivate the virtues of discipline, high Moral values, Competitiveness & Team spirit in our students, which leads to the overall personality development of the students. The College has started BSc(Computer Science) in 2001-2002 , B.C.A in 2007-2008, B.B.A in 2008-2009 and M. Sc.(Computer Science) academic year 2009-2010. Currently 813 students are taking advantage of advance infrastructure & facilities by the college. The college ensures an excellent academic record to prove the competitive efficiency students and to enrich their all round personality development in their modern world of 21st century.

Computer Labs: The College has three air-conditioned & well equipped computer lab with 95 networked computers with 100 Mbps Lease Line of Vodafone Internet connection.

Library

College library has a rich collection of Reference Books, National & International Journals and University Journals with inclusive of textbooks. Currently there are 3411 (Three thousand four hundred and Eleven) books on shelf and further additions to be continued.

⮚It provides management skills like interpersonal development, soft skills development. This gives them overview of management functions.
⮚It gives them insight about organization goals and how it functions.
⮚Project work gives them an exposure of practical's implementations in management functions and study.
⮚Field visits and industrial visits are organized for the students to have personal interaction with corporate expertise.
⮚Social projects inculcate the student's responsibilities towards the society and environment. The course gives them further educational opportunities in course like MCA, M.B.A and other management courses.

•B.B.A

⮚The course give them further educational opportunities in course like MBA,MPM, MMM and other management courses.

General Rules and Discipline

⮚Students will follow all the norms of discipline of this college. Rules regarding routine work, behavior in the campus, classrooms, and library, at various functions and during examinations should be properly observed by all students. The regulations jointly made by the University of Pune, Educational Council, State Government and College Management will have to be strictly followed by all students, ⮚Uniform code is compulsory for students
⮚Students must carry their Identity card with them in college campus
⮚Students must behave decently. They should be polite to the staff and other students
⮚Vehicles must be parked at the parking place only.
⮚Students must not bunk lectures & practical’s
⮚Smoking/ drinking liquor, consuming Gutakha, pan masala and pan/ spitting is strictly prohibited in college campus
⮚Weapons that may cause physical injury are prohibited in the campus.
⮚Writing anything on the walls of classroom or toilet, throwing scraps anywhere in the campus is prohibited.
⮚The furniture, lamps, fans etc. in the classroom should be used carefully. No damage should in any Way be caused to the college property.
⮚Shouting, causing nuisance, banging on staircase, speaking in the reading hall, loitering in the college porch is prohibited.
⮚Visitors are not allowed in the campus unless special permission is granted.
⮚Students will have to follow all rules made by laboratories, library.
⮚Study tours can be arranged only by the permission of the principal. College will not be responsible for the tours conducted without permission
⮚In case of any complaint contact the principal. Do not directly approach the newspapers or any other media.
⮚No student will participate in any anti-social or anti college campaign. Nor will they take part in any Religious movement
⮚Students will participate and constructively co-operate in all extracurricular, co- curricular and cultural activities organized by the college.
⮚Use of unfair means and copy material in the examination is a punishable offence.
⮚Original Certificates once submitted will not be return.
⮚Strict actions will be taken if any alterations in documents are made.
⮚No circles, organizations, forums of students are formed in the campus.
⮚The examination forms will be detained if students are having less than 75%attendance.
⮚Students will have to observe all other regulations made from time to time by the college authorities.
⮚Student’s progress will be informed to the parents periodically.
⮚Use of mobile phone is strictly prohibited in the college campus
