VISHAKA Cell / Internal Complaint Committee (ICC) -
Introduction
The main aim of the Vishakha cell is to create a helpful
as well as encouraging environment for women towards
higher education by using their potential and teaching
them the values of honesty and integrity. The committee
works under the Women’s Grievance Redressal Cell.
Features of VISHAKA Cell:

Any act which deals with the cases of sexual or
emotional harassment

Any act which disrupts the regular academic activity of
a female student or staff
-
Any act through social media [e-mails, WhatsApp,
Facebook, SMS, etc.] which abuses the girl student by
words or pictures
-
As per the order of the Supreme Court of India and
subsequent notifications from the University Grants
Commission (UGC), the Cell is constituted to address
issues by any student, group of students, or any other
parties, on the following points:

Any act of physical abuse causing assault, harm, or
danger to health

Resolution of Complaints
-
Once a complaint is submitted to the cell, the members
of the cell start taking action through Standard
Operating Procedure (SOP).

The committee continuously follows up on complaints
until they are resolved completely, in compliance with
UGC guidelines.
Meetings of VISHAKA CELL / ICC
-
The committee must hold a minimum of 03 meetings per
year as per UGC guidelines.

In case of an emergency, the member secretary or
chairperson can call an additional meeting.
